Dave Hazelton

Dave Hazelton graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review. After clerking for a federal court of appeals in Hawaii, he joined the Washington, D.C. office of the international law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he has practiced for decades. Dave is active in “gospel justice,” serving on the boards of Unto, Inc. (Cru’s humanitarian aid subsidiary), Redeem International (serving widows and orphans in Sub-Saharan Africa), Chariots for Hope (which operates children’s homes in Kenya), and Central Union Mission (a Washington, D.C.-based homeless shelter). He also served for years as an outside pro bono counsel to the International Justice Mission and on Denver Seminary’s board of trustees. Dave is the author of The Simplified Guide: Paul’s Letters to the Churches (Deep River Books 2013) and God’s Marriage Blueprint: Restoring the Beauty of God’s Original Design (Morgan James Publishers, scheduled for release in November 2025).
