Heidi Lemmerhirt graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Notre Dame prior to completing graduate studies at the University of Michigan. After earning her Ph.D. in Human Genetics in 2006, Heidi taught at Eastern Michigan University before stepping away from academics for a season to be a stay-at-home mom. During this time, she also helped lead a Bible study and discipleship program for mothers. In 2018, she returned to the field as an online genetics tutor. She joined the MCSC team in 2023 and enjoys engaging with students and community members as part of her ministry. Heidi and her husband, David, attend Knox Presbyterian Church and are raising three kids with conflicted college allegiances -- even more so now as they send their oldest to the University of Alabama this fall!
